Home Team
The Home Team coordinator at Essex Senior Center, Kathy Haduch, matches volunteers with homebound seniors who need assistance
to remain independent in their homes. Volunteers are matched with a person to provide one or more of the following services
as needed: friendly visits, escourt trips, telephone visits, shopping and correspondence assistance. For information on becoming
a volunteer with the Home Team Program call Kathy at 410-887-0360.
Center Connection
This is a service within the Essex Senior Center that integrates seniors who need some assistance in the Center with
the help of a staff person. Our Center Connection Specialist, Kathy Blake, works with the senior to develop an individualized
schedule that takes into account the senior's ability, interests and needs. This program provides options to improve socialization
skill, create a purposeful role, and increase independent functioning.
